Bali escape fitness and health retreat Aug 2016

This August retreat we saw an inspiring bunch of 14 ladies with motivation to challenge themselves physically and push beyond old limits.

Each day they attended 2 classes either in the gym or overlooking the sunrise on the grass area while boxing and circuit training. On the second day we woke up at 2am and climbed volcano Mt Batur. There were some people who were unsure of this challenge but we were super impressed by the courage and team comradery as we got to the top of the mountain about 5.30 – 6am. Unfortunately the sunrise was happening below the fog but everyone felt a sense of achievement as we enjoyed our early morning Bali coffee. The way down was filled with laughter and fun and the rest of the day they enjoyed sunshine and daybeds by the pool (oh and I have to say this group enjoyed treatment after treatment, they sure kept the girls in the spa busy!) The yoga sessions were in the afternoons before dinner. Some days they were restorative and other days we were hanging upside down at the flying high yoga. Some people went to Sanur and enjoyed a beautiful sunny day Stand Up Paddle boarding and a little bit of retail therapy. The cooking class in Ubud added a cultural experience that everyone loved. There was also a medicinal healer who most people saw and it was truly an amazing experience, lots of tears and laughs. Last but not least was the high ropes course. WOW this was challenging! Some people belong in the trees while others were stuck up the trees. Again what a team we had everyone helping and encouraging others and we couldn’t have been more proud.

Overall we really saw the improvement in a week from all the girls. Some came with little knowledge of gyms and workouts but left so much stronger and with a clear plan and goals moving forward. Our feedback from everyone is they felt stronger, energised, relaxed, inspired and revitalised. Most left saying they will definitely be back next year, we cant wait to do it again. Namaste.
